ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL PROCEDURES
All students will enter the school through the doors in the lobby of the school and will be dismissed through the same entrance.
Students, upon arrival to school beginning at 7:45am, are to report directly to their homeroom.
No student is permitted in the school before 7:45 am or after 2:50 pm without permission from the principal and/or teacher for a specific, supervised, school-sponsored activity. Teachers are involved in preparation for the day and are not on duty to supervise students until the appointed time.
Parents are to contact the school office in writing as well as their bus driver when their child will not be using arrival or dismissal transportation. If your child normally rides the bus, he/she will be dismissed onto the bus unless prior arrangements have been made.
Parents must notify the school as to whom is authorized to pick up their child(ren) after school.
Students who ride busses are dismissed first. Parents picking up their child may line up on Hudson Road and may pull forward to pick up their child(ren) following the last bus departing. Teachers on bus duty will indicate when parents can pull forward to pick up students. Students will only be released to the parents’ pre-authorized person.
Dropping off Students at School: Parents need to be sure there is a school staff member present at the school before dropping students off at the school. For example, it may be that a parent did not receive word that school had been canceled for the day due to weather and as a result there would be no teachers or staff present at the school as would be normally expected. Lack of adherence to this policy may result in an unsafe situation.
